When should I use the Merano therapy rug?

What is the difference between a therapy rug and a horse solarium?
A horse solarium warms the body via infrared radiation from a distance. In contrast, the Merano works with contact-based heat. The heating zones lie directly against the horse's back and transfer their heat directly to the tissue. This allows the back to be warmed in a targeted manner, independent of a permanently installed solarium system.
Which heat level should I use for the Merano?
That depends on the desired use. Red offers intensive heat, orange a medium intensity, and yellow a gentle warmth. In addition, blue provides an automatic combination program of intensive and medium heat.
What does the blue heat program do?
The blue program combines different heat intensities within a single session. It combines intensive heat with medium heat. This allows the muscles to be warmed more strongly at first and then maintained with reduced intensity.
Why are double heating coils installed?
The double heating coils ensure intensive and as even a heat distribution as possible across the heated back area. This allows the heat to be released over a large area to the muscles.
What does an insulated back section without cold bridges mean?
Consistent insulation prevents generated heat from escaping particularly quickly at individual, less-insulated points. As a result, the heating effect remains as uniform as possible across the intended back area.
Is the Merano tied to a power outlet?
No. The therapy rug is operated with an Eremit battery. This allows it to be used independently of a fixed power connection.

Includes long-lasting Eremit battery with charging cable: The Merano therapy rug is supplied with a long-lasting Eremit battery and a matching charging cable. This keeps the heat application flexible and not tied to a fixed power connection. The rug can be used wherever the horse can stand in a relaxed manner and the heat can take effect. After use, the battery is simply recharged and is then available again. For even more flexibility, an additional spare battery is available separately so that a second battery can be kept charged and ready if required.

From intense heating for the targeted preparation of muscles to gentle warmth for relaxed sessions, the temperature can be selected to suit the specific need.
- Red (1) intense heat: The highest heat level ensures intensive warming of the back muscles. It is particularly suitable when strong heat application is desired, for example, to prepare before physical exertion or in the case of significantly tense muscles.
- Orange (2) medium heat: The medium setting offers a balanced supply of heat. It is suitable both for preparation for exercise and for sessions after training when the muscles are to be warmed evenly and regeneration is to be supported.
- Yellow (3) gentle heat: The gentle heat level offers pleasant, subtle warming and is particularly suitable for relaxed sessions and regenerative phases in which no intensive heat application is required.
