What is the difference between dressage boots and jumping boots?

Dressage boots are usually larger and constructed more evenly around the horse's leg. Jumping boots, on the other hand, are specifically designed to protect the rear tendon area of the front legs from stronger external impacts during jumping. Therefore, which variant makes sense depends on the area of use and the horse.

What is the difference between dressage boots and bandages?

Bandages are wrapped individually around the horse's leg and must be applied with even tension. Dressage boots already have a fixed shape and padding and can be put on much faster using the Velcro fasteners. Both can protect the horse's leg from external impacts during training.

How should dressage boots fit correctly?

They should lie evenly against the horse's leg without cutting in or twisting during movement. The ergonomic shape should follow the contour of the leg, and the fasteners should be adjusted evenly on both sides.

How tight should the Velcro fasteners be closed?

In LPO dressage competitions, boots are generally not permitted during the actual test.
