This powerful cooling gel has been specifically developed for stressed horses – with innovative HyperCooling Effect, plant-based active ingredients, and a thoughtful formula that is also suitable for use in competitive sports. It combines fast cooling with targeted deep action, actively promoting the regeneration of muscles, tendons, and joints. Natural extracts like Arnica, St. John's Wort, and Horse Chestnut have soothing, anti-inflammatory, and swelling-reducing effects, while menthol provides a refreshing instant effect. Whether after training, for swelling, tension, or simply to stimulate circulation on hot days – this gel is a true all-rounder. And the best part: Doping-free according to FN, making it safe for use in competitions.

  • HyperCooling Effect – Deep-Action Cooling: After being applied to the skin, the gel first delivers an immediate cooling effect to the surface tissue – triggered by natural evaporative cooling. Unlike ice or cold packs, which constrict blood vessels and reduce circulation, microcirculation remains unaffected. In fact, essential oils actively promote it, allowing the cooling effect to last longer while also helping the plant-based active ingredients penetrate deeper into the skin.

    • Reduces swelling
    • Relaxes muscles and joints
    • Promotes circulation and recovery
    • Anti-inflammatory thanks to natural herbal extracts
    • Soothes itching, burning, and irritation
    • Stimulates circulation on warm days
    • Calms irritated Skin

  • Doping-free (FN compliant) – tournament-approved and safe to use: The gel contains no ingredients listed as doping-related on the ADMR (Anti-Doping and Medication Control Regulations) list of the German Equestrian Federation (FN). The formulation was developed with a focus on use in sports and is therefore also safe for competition horses. All active ingredients comply with current regulations and can be used without any waiting period according to FN rules. This makes the gel ideal for daily training as well as for use in sporting competitions.

  • Premium, natural extracts – trusted for centuries: Plant extracts are among the oldest and most effective remedies in natural medicine. Their natural bioactive ingredients have regulating, soothing, and anti-inflammatory properties – without overburdening the skin. They support tissue

    • Arnica Montana: Known for its circulation-boosting, anti-inflammatory, and swelling-reducing effects. It is traditionally used for bruises, strains, contusions, and muscle tension, helping to alleviate pain and swelling after intense exertion or injuries. Especially in the area of muscles, tendons, and joints, Arnica supports regeneration and accelerates tissue recovery.

    • St. John's Wort: Has soothing, anti-inflammatory properties and supports the regeneration of stressed skin and tissue structures. It is traditionally used for tension, muscle pain, and mild nerve irritations. Due to its nourishing and balancing qualities, St. John's Wort helps calm irritated skin and promote the healing process – especially after intense exertion or minor injuries.

    • Horse Chestnut: Particularly known for its vein-strengthening and swelling-reducing properties. It supports venous return and can have a soothing effect on heavy, tired, or swollen legs. Especially after long periods of standing, intense physical exertion, or in cases of fluid retention, it helps reduce feelings of tension and noticeably relieve the tissue.

    • Menthol: Provides an instantly noticeable cooling effect on the skin, refreshing and soothing it. It has a mild numbing and irritation-relieving effect, helping to quickly alleviate itching, burning, or sensations of tension. At the same time, menthol stimulates circulation, supporting the targeted delivery of active ingredients to the tissue.

  • Application areas – from exertion to recovery: The cooling gel is suitable for a variety of situations in daily life and training. It can be used flexibly and supports the regeneration of muscles, tendons, and joints exactly when your horse needs it.

    • For tired or stressed legs
    • For relieving swelling and inflammation
    • After training for cooling and recovery of muscles, tendons, and Ligaments
    • For muscle soreness and Tension
    • To support recovery after competitions
    • During box rest or while traveling
    • For insect bites
    • For circulation problems (apply to the legs)

  • Application – cools instantly and provides long-lasting relief: Apply a small amount (about 30g per limb) to the entire length of the legs after intense physical exertion. Gently massage in to support absorption through the skin. Avoid strong rubbing. Prolonged application under bandages is not recommended. The gel should not be applied to open wounds or abrasions. The application can be repeated multiple times a day as needed.

Did you know that… Menthol activates special cold receptors in the skin (TRPM8), which typically respond to real cold? This creates an intense cold sensation, even though the skin temperature hardly decreases. Additionally, the gel’s evaporation cooling removes actual heat from the skin – a physical effect that visibly cools the surface. Together, this results in a dual cooling effect: noticeable cooling from menthol and real temperature reduction from evaporation cooling.

This versatile cooling gel has been specifically developed for stressed horse legs and impresses with its innovative HyperCooling Effect, which combines rapid cooling with lasting deep action. Immediately after application, natural evaporation cooling provides a noticeably fresh sensation on the skin, without hindering circulation – unlike traditional cooling methods like ice or cold packs that constrict blood vessels. Instead, microcirculation is maintained, ensuring better tissue nourishment. Essential oils further support this effect by stimulating local circulation and prolonging the cooling effect. This allows plant-based ingredients like Arnica, St. John's Wort, and Horse Chestnut to penetrate deeper into the skin layers and unfold their beneficial properties. The formula was designed to promote recovery after physical exertion, relax muscles and joints, and soothe irritated skin. At the same time, the gel has anti-inflammatory, swelling-reducing, and itch-relieving effects, making it ideal for tired legs after training, to support swelling, or to refresh on hot days. Thanks to its circulatory activation, the gel is also excellent for weather changes, long transports, or during box rest. Especially in sports use, the product stands out for its FN compliance. The carefully balanced formula contains no doping-relevant substances according to the ADMR list of the German Equestrian Federation (FN), making it safe for use in competitions – without any waiting time. The natural extracts are based on proven knowledge of herbal medicine and contain no unnecessary additives. Arnica, with its circulation-boosting and anti-swelling effects, specifically supports the recovery of muscles, tendons, and joints after intense exertion or minor injuries. St. John's Wort soothes irritated skin, balances tissue, and helps with tension or overstrain. Horse Chestnut is known for its vein-strengthening properties and provides relief for heavy or swollen legs. Menthol adds an immediate cooling effect to the formula, which refreshes, soothes, and stimulates circulation – without irritating the skin. The gel is free from camphor, which, although often used in similar products, can irritate the skin and mucous membranes and cause unwanted reactions in sensitive horses. Our camphor-free formula guarantees a gentle application that is also suitable for sensitive horses. Additionally, parabens have been deliberately avoided – synthetic preservatives that are suspected of being hormonally active and causing skin irritation. Instead, we use a modern, skin-friendly preservative without critical ingredients. The gel should ideally be applied gently in circular motions to the legs – without pressure. A small amount is enough to achieve the desired effect. The application can be repeated multiple times a day if necessary. For optimal results, avoid vigorous rubbing and do not apply the gel under bandages or on open skin areas. For external use only.

FAQ about the Cooling Gel:

Effect

  • What effect does the gel have?
The gel instantly cools the surface of the skin, penetrates deeper into the tissue, and unfolds its regenerating, swelling-reducing, and muscle-relaxing effects.

Ingredients

  • What is camphor – and why is the gel free of it?
Camphor is a strongly scented, natural active ingredient derived from the wood of the camphor tree. It has been used in ointments and gels for centuries, primarily for its cooling, circulation-boosting, and mild numbing effects. However, camphor can cause skin irritation, allergic reactions, or even respiratory problems in sensitive horses (and humans). It is particularly critical when used in higher concentrations or over long periods. Additionally, it is under observation because it can be absorbed through the skin and, in some cases, is considered doping-relevant. For these reasons, we intentionally avoided camphor in our cooling gel. Instead, we use gentler alternatives like menthol and essential oils, which provide a comparable cooling effect – but without the unwanted side effects. This makes our gel especially skin-friendly, gentle, and safe – even for sensitive horses or in competitive sports.

  • What exactly are parabens – and why do we consciously avoid them? Parabens are synthetic preservatives used in many cosmetic products. They are very effective, long-lasting, and relatively inexpensive. However, they are also suspected of affecting hormonal processes in the body. Although this effect has not been conclusively proven in cosmetic products, we consciously choose not to use these substances. For our gel, we have developed a modern formula that is completely free of parabens. This means you get an effective, high-quality cooling gel with natural ingredients that is also especially skin-friendly – without any unnecessary additives.

  • Is the cooling gel doping-free?
Yes, according to the current "List of Prohibited Substances in Equestrian Sports" by the German Equestrian Federation (FN), the gel contains no banned ingredients.

  • What makes the ingredients so special?
Plant extracts like Arnica, St. John's Wort, and Horse Chestnut have anti-inflammatory, circulation-boosting, and regenerating effects – all naturally.

Application

  • For which horses is the cooling gel suitable?
The gel is suitable for all horses – from sport horses to leisure companions. It is especially recommended after intense exertion, training, or competitions.

  • When should the gel be applied?
Ideally after training, during box rest, while traveling, after overexertion, or on hot days to support circulation.

  • How often can the gel be used?
The gel can be applied multiple times a day, depending on need.

  • Can the gel be used under bandages?
Prolonged use under bandages is not recommended.

  • Where should the cooling gel be applied on the horse?
Mainly on the legs, especially on tendons, ligaments, and muscles. Also suitable for targeted application on insect bites or localized swelling. Do not apply to open wounds or mucous membranes.
