With Hook&Hold, a matching top rug becomes the foundation of a flexible, modular rug system. Depending on the temperature, whether the horse is clipped, and individual warmth requirements, you can add one or two compatible under-rugs to specifically increase insulation. This eliminates the need to use a completely different winter rug for every weather condition.
When is a combined ceiling system appropriate?

The advantages of the Hook&Hold system
Hook&Hold combines the top and bottom blankets into a coordinated system. This is not just about additional filling, but about flexible insulation, a stable fit of the individual layers, and the simplest possible adjustment.

Still air remains trapped between the layers of the blankets. Since air is a poor conductor of heat, the loss of heat from the horse's body to the cooler environment is further slowed down.

Which combination does my horse need?
This cannot be determined solely by a fixed outside temperature. Coat, fur, age, housing, wind, humidity, and individual cold sensitivity all influence the actual need for warmth.
How do I know if the combination is too warm?
Check regularly under the blanket, especially at the chest, shoulder, and behind the withers. Your horse should be comfortably warm and dry. Damp skin or sweating indicate that the chosen insulation may be too high.
