that you can cover four different warmth levels with just three rugs? The 50g turnout rug can be worn alone or combined with the 150g, the 300g, or both under-rugs. This results in approximately 50g, 200g, 350g, or 500g of fill in the overlapping areas. This allows you to fine-tune the insulation to the temperature, clipping status, and warmth requirements of your horse without needing a separate winter rug for every weather condition.

How does the Hook&Hold system work with this set?
The Hook&Hold system connects the turnout rug and the under rugs securely and quickly. A loop and Velcro fastener at the front, as well as the clip system at the back, ensure that all parts reliably stay in place, even during movement. This allows you to flexibly adjust the thermal performance to changing temperatures.
What temperatures are the 150g and 300g under rugs suitable for?
The 150g under rug is particularly suitable for cooler days and the transition period with temperatures from approx. +10 °C to 0 °C, while the 300g under rug is suitable for cold winter days and temperatures from about +5 °C down to sub-zero. The choice depends on your horse's coat, clip, housing, and constitution.
Can I use the under rugs individually or only together with the turnout rug?
The under rugs are designed as an additional thermal layer for the Hook&Hold system and are always used in combination with a compatible top rug, such as the 50g turnout rug. They can be used individually or combined together to individually adjust the thermal performance.
How easy to care for are the rugs in the set?
All rugs in the set are machine washable and easy to care for. The turnout rug should be washed at 30 degrees, although the waterproofing may diminish over time. The under rugs are also machine washable and retain their shape and function even with regular use.
Are the rugs in the set breathable and waterproof?
Yes, the turnout rug is completely waterproof with an ISO-certified water column of 5,000 mm and is simultaneously breathable with an air permeability of 3,000 g/m². The under rugs are also breathable, thereby supporting a comfortable climate under the rug by allowing moisture and excess heat to escape.
Security Information
- For use on horses only and strictly for the intended purpose. Use the under rug exclusively in combination with a suitable turnout or stable rug.
- Before each use, check all components for damage and wear, in particular seams, straps, eyelets, buckles, snap hooks, and other fasteners.
- Do not continue to use damaged or heavily worn rugs. Replace defective or deformed fasteners immediately.
- Ensure the correct size and fit. A poorly fitting rug can lead to pressure marks, chafing, or injury.
- Adjust straps and fasteners correctly and close them securely. Straps that are too long, loose, or incorrectly adjusted can pose a risk of injury or snagging.
- Regularly check the fit and secure positioning of the rugs, especially after the horse has moved or if worn for an extended period.
- Regularly check the horse for pressure marks, chafing, skin irritation, and signs of overheating.
- Adjust the rug combination used according to weather conditions, temperature, stabling method, coat condition, and the horse's individual warmth requirements, particularly to avoid overheating.
- Do not use on open wounds, skin injuries, or highly irritated skin areas.
- Do not use for other purposes, particularly not as a travel rug, unless the product is expressly intended for such use.
- Do not make any modifications to the product that could impair the fit, stability, or safe function.
- Clean only according to the care label. Do not use bleach, solvents, or unsuitable chemical cleaning agents.
- Allow to dry completely after cleaning before the rugs are reused or stored.
- Store in a dry place away from open flames, strong heat sources, and dangerous chemical substances.

In tests, 5,000 mm corresponds to the pressure of a five-meter-high column of water.
