The “Ibiza” fly sheet with a removable neck cover was developed for daily use during fly season and combines reliable insect protection with high wearing comfort. Two differently constructed mesh materials provide a functional balance of protection and lightness: a denser sweet itch mesh in the back area protects particularly sensitive zones from insects, while a more airy mesh in the lower area ensures a pleasant wearing feel. The elastic fabric and the classic cut with walking pleat support the horse’s natural movement, while the additional chest protection with hook-and-loop fastener specifically protects the sensitive chest area from insects and at the same time reduces rubbing from the buckles. This makes the fly sheet ideal for use on pasture and paddock throughout the entire fly season.
 

• Additional chest protection with hook-and-loop fastener - gentle and secure: The elastic, breathable and soft material at the chest prevents the fly sheet from gaping when the horse moves. At the same time, it protects against rubbing from the buckles and ensures that no gap is created through which flies could enter. The hook-and-loop fastener allows easy opening and closing while also ensuring a secure hold, so the fly sheet always fits perfectly at the horse’s chest and reliably protects it from insects.

• Two robust mesh zones - tailored to different areas: The fly sheet consists of two mesh materials with different densities that are specifically tailored to the horse’s needs. In the back area, a denser, close-meshed material is used that reliably protects sensitive parts from flies and insects. Further down, a lighter, more airy mesh ensures a pleasant wearing feel and reduces the sheet’s overall weight.

• With UV protection – reduces direct sunlight: The integrated UV protection helps protect the horse’s skin from intense sunlight and can reduce the risk of skin irritation on sunny days.

Material

• When should I put a fly sheet on my horse?
  A fly sheet is used as soon as flies, mosquitoes or other insects visibly bother the horse. Typical signs are restlessness, frequent tail swishing or constant head shaking. A fly sheet can help significantly reduce these irritations and provide the horse with more calmness on pasture and in the stable.

• Does the sheet also protect against small insects such as blackflies?
  Our “Ibiza” fly sheets keep most flying insects such as flies, horseflies and mosquitoes away effectively. For very fine pests such as blackflies and deer keds (e.g. with sweet itch), a special sweet itch sheet such as our “Kuba” with extra fine fabric is better suited.

• What does classic cut with walking pleat mean?
  The walking pleat in the shoulder area provides more freedom of movement so the fly sheet sits comfortably even on active horses and does not restrict them.

• Can I leave the fly sheet on all day?
  Yes, a high-quality fly sheet like our “Ibiza” is made of breathable materials designed for continuous use and wicks away heat and moisture without causing heat build-up.

• Can I wash the fly sheet?
  Yes, the fly sheet can be machine-washed at 30 °C. Please do not use fabric softener and let it air dry.
