What is the difference between the Ultra Dry and a classic cooler rug?
A classic cooler rug is mainly used for drying off after training and is removed afterwards. The Ultra Dry combines a cooling function, a lightweight stable rug, and an under-rug in one product. Thanks to the AirMesh on the sides, it is more breathable than a fully enclosed fleece rug and can simply be left on the horse after it has dried off.
Do I need to change my horse's rug again after it has dried off with the Ultra Dry?
Not necessarily. That is exactly one of the advantages of the Ultra Dry. After drying, it can remain on the horse as a lightweight stable rug or be combined with a compatible SUNRIDE outer rug using the Hook&Hold system. This can eliminate the need for an additional rug change.
Why is the Ultra Dry made of AirMesh and fleece?
The different materials are designed to perform specific tasks. The open AirMesh allows a particularly large amount of air and water vapor to escape from the sides. The back and kidney area, on the other hand, remain better protected against rapid heat loss thanks to the soft fleece and light insulation.
What does the 50g filling mean for the Ultra Dry?
50g is one of the light filling levels. It offers subtle additional insulation without making the Ultra Dry a heavy winter rug. Technically, fillings up to 100g are usually classified as light.
Can I use the Ultra Dry instead of a normal under-rug?
Yes. It can be used as an under-rug via the Hook&Hold system. The difference compared to a classic under-rug lies primarily in its additional cooling function and the particularly airy AirMesh construction.
When should I use the surcingles?
The surcingles provide additional support when your horse is moving freely while wearing the Ultra Dry, for example in the stall or during transport. When cooling down in a controlled manner at the grooming area, you can remove them completely if required.

It is secured at the front with a loop and Velcro fastener, and at the back via the clip system. This keeps both blankets reliably connected, even during movement.
- EasyLock closure – more safety in everyday stable life: The low-profile safety closure is designed with as few protruding parts as possible. This reduces the risk of your horse getting caught in an open stable, on hay nets, fences, or other objects. At the same time, the closure lies flat against the chest, reducing uncomfortable pressure.
- Stable rug and under rug in one – versatile use: The Ultra Dry can be worn on its own as a lightweight stable rug or attached under a compatible SUNRIDE outer rug using the Hook&Hold system. This means you don't have to completely change your horse's rug in changing conditions; instead, you can simply supplement your existing blanket with additional protection against the weather or cold.
- Targets warmth for the back and kidney area – protects sensitive muscle groups from cooling down: Along the back and kidney area, the Ultra Dry deliberately uses soft fleece instead of open mesh.
