How can I tell if a horse rug is too tight at the chest?

Typical signs include tension at the chest closure, chafing, roughened or broken hair on the chest and shoulders, and restricted movement when moving forward. Even if the rug fits correctly otherwise, the chest area may be cut too narrowly.

No. If your horse's normal rug size fits in principle and only more space is needed in the chest area, you can continue to use it and supplement it with the chest extender.

Yes. The chest extender is made of robust 1200D ripstop fabric and has a hydrostatic head of 3,000 mm. This means that the additionally created area is also designed for use with compatible SUNRIDE outdoor rugs.
