These lipids help prevent the hoof from becoming brittle or cracked. When these fats are lost due to external influences (e.g., excessive water or extreme dryness), the hoof becomes susceptible to damage. It penetrates the top layer of the hoof horn and forms a flexible barrier that preserves moisture while preventing drying and cracking. Furthermore, it protects against harmful external influences such as UV radiation and bacteria. Our hoof oil goes even further by being specifically enriched with antibacterial and antifungal agents to prevent diseases such as thrush or inflammation of the hoof sole.
