How do I adjust the halter correctly?

Adjust the straps so that the halter fits securely but does not pinch or chafe. The noseband should sit below the cheekbone on the solid part of the nasal bone and should not be fastened too low.

How tight should the noseband be?

There should be sufficient space between the noseband and the horse's head. As a guide, two to three fingers are often recommended. At the same time, the halter must not be so loose that it slips or the horse could get caught in it.
