What does 0g mean for a neck cover?
0g means that the neck cover has no additional fill. It protects the neck and mane area from rain and wind without specifically providing extra insulation through a layer of padding. Unlined turnout rugs are therefore particularly suitable for mild and changeable weather.
Does a 0g neck cover provide any warmth at all?
It has no warming fill. Nevertheless, it can contribute to well-being because it keeps rain and wind away from the neck and prevents the coat from getting soaked. A dry coat can better maintain its natural insulating function.
Why is a neck cover useful if my horse is already wearing a turnout rug?
A classic turnout rug leaves the neck largely exposed. During prolonged rain, the coat there can become completely soaked and water can run down to the edge of the rug. The neck cover specifically extends the weather protection to the neck and mane area. Neck covers are offered precisely for this additional protection.
Can I also use the 0g neck cover with a lined winter rug?
Yes. The neck cover can be combined with all SUNRIDE turnout rugs and winter rugs. For example, you can provide more warmth for the body while simultaneously adding only extra rain and wind protection for the neck.
What does a 5,000 mm water column mean for the neck cover?
The water column describes the material's resistance to water penetration. With 5,000 mm, the neck cover is designed for reliable weather protection in the rain. At the same time, its breathability allows water vapor to escape from the inside to the outside.
Can I use the same neck cover for several SUNRIDE rugs?
Yes. Thanks to the uniform attachment, you can combine the 0g neck cover with all SUNRIDE turnout rugs and winter rugs. This means you do not need a separate neck cover for every single rug.

- 5,000 mm water column - reliable protection in sustained rain: The water column indicates the water pressure the material can withstand before moisture penetrates it. In tests, 5,000 mm corresponds to the pressure of a five-meter-high water column. This ensures the neck remains reliably protected from rain and wetness even during longer periods outdoors.
- Breathability of 3,000 g/m² - moisture can escape to the outside: This value indicates how much water vapor can pass through one square meter of material within 24 hours. At 3,000 g/m², up to 3,000 g of water vapor can be released to the outside. This allows moisture and excess heat to escape while keeping rain out.
