What temperatures is a 150g under-rug suitable for?

There is no general temperature limit, as heat requirements, shearing, coat, housing, and weather are all decisive factors. 150g is considered a medium fill weight and is particularly suitable for cooler days and the transitional period.

What is the difference between the 150g and the 300g under-rug?

The 150g version offers moderate additional warmth and is especially suitable for changeable or less cold weather. The 300g under-rug insulates significantly more and is intended for higher heat requirements.

Why is a 150g under-rug particularly practical during the transitional period?

In autumn and spring, temperatures can change significantly within a single day. With a medium-weight under-rug, you can specifically increase the thermal output of the outer rug without having to switch to a much heavier rug immediately.

How does the SUNRIDE Hook&Hold system work?

The under-rug is connected to the compatible SUNRIDE outer rug at the front with a loop and Velcro fastener, and at the back via a clip system. This ensures both rugs remain securely together and are less likely to slip during movement.

Can the 150g under-rug be worn on its own?

No. It is designed as an additional warmth layer for the SUNRIDE Hook&Hold system and is always used with a compatible outer rug.

Does the under-rug change the required rug size?

No. The 150g under-rug can be used with normal rug sizes without any issues. Simply choose the under-rug and compatible SUNRIDE outer rug in your horse's usual size.

Why is an under-rug system better than two loose rugs on top of each other?

A dedicated under-rug is connected directly to the outer rug. This means the individual layers are less likely to slide against each other, and you can adjust the thermal output more effectively.

Can I switch between different under-rugs depending on the weather?

Yes. That is exactly what the Hook&Hold system is designed for. In milder temperatures, you can, for example, use the 150g version and switch to a more heavily lined under-rug if higher heat requirements arise.
