A stable curtain not only creates order, but can also shield part of this field of vision, thus offering your horse a quieter area to retreat to.

What is the difference between a stable curtain and a stable guard?

A stable curtain serves primarily as a visual barrier and an organizational surface in front of or next to the stall. A stable guard, on the other hand, restricts the open stall entrance and allows the horse to stick its head out without being able to leave the stall. Both products therefore serve different purposes and can be a useful addition to one another at a show.

Can a stable curtain help a restless horse at a show?

Yes, especially in busy stable aisles, it can partially shield the horse from passing people, other horses, and other visual distractions. This can offer sensitive or easily distracted horses a calmer space. However, a horse should not be completely isolated from its surroundings and other horses, as social contact and awareness of the environment are also important.

Why is a stable curtain particularly practical at horse shows?

Temporary show stables often lack space for the organized storage of daily equipment. On a stable curtain, you can hang frequently used items so they are directly at hand while simultaneously creating a clearly defined area in front of your stall.

What equipment can be hung on the hooks?

The hooks are suitable for bridles, halters, breastplates, girths, and other appropriate accessories, for example. This keeps frequently needed equipment from lying on the ground or cluttering the stable aisle.

Can I also hang damp saddle pads on the stable curtain?

Yes. The stable curtain features practical webbing straps over which you can hang saddle pads or other suitable equipment. This allows damp textiles to air out and dry better instead of being stored folded up.

How is it prevented that the stable curtain slips or flaps in the wind?

In addition to the main attachment points, the curtain has extra eyelets. You can use these to further secure and tension the curtain at suitable points on the stall so that it hangs more steadily and securely.
