Why do the shipping boots extend over the carpal joint?

During transport, not only the cannon bone and fetlock area but also the carpal joint can come into contact with the partition, the trailer, or the horse's own legs. The high cut therefore protects a significantly larger area of the front leg than a standard boot.

What is the difference between front and rear shipping boots?

The shapes are adapted to the different anatomy of the front and hind legs. Front shipping boots are specifically designed to protect the hoof, fetlock, cannon bone, and carpal joint (knee). Rear models are longer and tailored accordingly to the hock and hind leg.
