What can I do if my horse walks with an unusually high gait in shipping boots?

This occurs especially with horses that are not yet used to tall shipping boots. Therefore, let your horse get used to them calmly before the first trip and let it take a few steps in them first. This allows it to get accustomed to the unfamiliar feeling over the joints.

Why are all four boots additionally reinforced in the hoof area?

During loading and the journey, the hooves are subject to particular stress from pawing, shifting weight, and balancing. The leather trim reinforces this area on all four legs and protects the material where contact and friction occur most frequently.
